Notes - !SOURCE: Email from Greg Johnson (undisclosed at example dot net) to Weldon Whipple, 6 Nov 2013: "Armide was almost born in actor Rudolph Valintino's dressing room when her mother went into labor while on a movie set in Hollywood. Armide attended Fairfax High School in Los Angeles. She became a Big Band singer with several well known bands to include Bob Crosby, Ben Pollack, Les Brown and Chico Marx. Sang numerous duets with Mel Torme, and Hoagy Carmichael. Toured Aleutian Islands for USO with actress Linda Darnell during WWII. Gave up vocation after marrying James Johnson, who she met while singing at the Hotel del Coronado near North Island Naval Air Station."
